During this very difficult and trying time – a time of enforced isolation and contemplation – we would like, with your help, to create an artwork that encourages empathy and connection. A piece that reminds us of what we love and value in ourselves and each other. A piece that builds compassion and appreciation of the small things.
You can participate as a household or on your own, but please adhere to social distancing rules and follow the simple steps below.
We hope the artwork will help us focus on the positive connections we have built over this difficult time.

- Use your phone to make a short video of a person's left eye – this can be your own.
- Hold the device as steady and close as you can, so that the eye fills most of the screen but remains in focus.
- Record for about 5 seconds, making sure you capture at least one blink.
- Write a few short words about this person, beginning with "I see…"
- E-mail the video and words to iseeyou@outputarts.com. We will not share your email address with anyone, use it for any other purpose or keep it after the project is over.
